Hello and welcome to Still Pretty Vintage, my name is Amaia and I am a thirty something gal with an obsession for colour, kitsch, goth and rock n roll vintage clothing. 

 

If you haven’t noticed already by the items in my store - I’m a tad bit obsessed with the 80s…You see, I was born in 1981 and during the early years I was influenced by artists like The Cure, Guns N Roses, ACDC, Cyndi Lauper, Michael Jackson, George Michael (WHAM), Madonna and Boy George. My earliest memories are dancing around my Grandparents house to Culture Club's “Come a Chameleon” and of course Michael Jacksons “Beat It”... you see, even then I had a love for 80s music, fashion, rebellion, rock, punk and goth subcultures and well…as an adult, not much has changed. 

My wardrobe is filled with vintage and vintage inspired clothing, some that I still wear and some pieces that are now featured in my store. I am often on the look out for new/old exciting pieces that tickle my fancy. Clothing that reminds me of my youth, or clothing that can put a smile on my face.

My store features pieces from 60's through to 90's vintage, as well as clothing that is from or influenced by certain subcultures (predominately mod, ska, punk, psychobilly, goth, grunge or metal). My true love is 70s, 80s and 90s vintage. I love pretty dresses, bright and fun colours, but I also love bogan, wild and trashy clothing. I love how accessories like a leather or denim jacket, belt and sunglasses can totally amp up a classic piece. Talk about juxtaposition…I’m definitely all about that.

Although Still Pretty is technically a vintage store, we also have pieces that are post 90's,  Most of these post 90's pieces are vintage inspired. So if you're interested in a particular look but are not to phased about whether or not it's true vintage - head over to the SHOP PRELOVED link.
